Meet the Epaulette Shark

The Epaulette Shark is a species of longtailed carpet shark. They use their fins to walk over coral reefs. They are largely nocturnal and are most active at low water.

Distribution

Found around the coast of Queensland, the Northern Territory, and northern Western Australia. Also found around New Guinea.

Habitat

Shallow coral reefs, down to 40 m deep.
